The North Carolina Troopers Association K-9 Unit operates 24/7 to assist law enforcement in locating missing persons. Our dedicated volunteers and highly trained K-9s are on a mission to reunite families and provide closure when it’s needed most.

WHO WE ARE

The North Carolina Troopers Association K-9 Unit (NCTA K9 SAR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization composed of dedicated volunteers who specialize in providing search and recovery services. Working side by side with law enforcement agencies, our highly trained K-9 teams are a vital resource in finding missing persons across North Carolina and neighboring states.

 

We believe in justice, closure, and hope. Each mission is carried out with professionalism, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving the community.

WHAT WE DO

Our mission is to locate and bring home missing persons by providing:

  • Highly Skilled K-9 Teams: Trained in tracking, cadaver recovery, and search missions.

  • 24/7 Availability: Ready to deploy at any time, day or night.

  • Partnership with Law Enforcement: Supporting local, state, and federal agencies with expert resources.

We provide specialized training for our handlers and K-9s to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and effectiveness.

TOGETHER, WE CAN SAVE LIVES

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in North Carolina, NCTA K-9 Search and Recovery is committed to serving the citizens of our state with highly trained K-9 teams. While we receive some state funding, our operations depend heavily on community support and donations to stay operational and enhance our services.

Every dollar you contribute helps us:

  • Provide justice and closure to families of missing persons and victims of violent crimes.

  • Maintain and improve the training and readiness of our K-9 teams.

  • Cover the cost of specialized equipment, gas, and other mission-critical expenses, which our volunteers often fund out of their own pockets.
